Indian Lok Sabha has passed the Personal Laws Bill, 2018. This bill has been moved by Minister of State for Law i.e. PP Chaudhary. This is to remove infectious disease on the ground of divorce in five personal laws - Dissolution of Muslim Marriages Act, Special Marriage Act, Hindu Marriage Act, the Hindu Adoptions and Maintenance Act, and Hindu Marriage Act.

Reason- Behind Amendment Move

This bill was introduced in the Lok Sabha in the August 2018. This bill was introduced as the various recommendations were made to remove the infectious disease as a ground for divorce. Some of eh recommendations are:-

• The Law Commission in its 256th report has recommended the repeal of laws and the provisions which have discriminatory against leprosy (infected disease) affected people.
• India is a signatory to the UN resolutions which calls for the elimination of the discrimination against the persons suffering from leprosy. Leprosy as a ground for divorce was a dispute to the resolutions.
• In 2014, even the Indian Supreme Court had asked the Central and the State governments to take the steps for the comeback and make the combination for leprosy-affected people into the mainstream.
• The National Human Rights Commission had made a long proposal for the government in this regard.

The Minister said that Leprosy is now a treatable disease as against the earlier idea or it is being incurable. Hence it would be wise to bring the amendment in this regard.

Leprosy- Meaning

Leprosy is a Sickness which is endless irresistible bacterial malady caused by a Mycobacterium leprae. Uncleanliness, for the most part, influences the skin, the fringe nerves, mucosal surfaces of the upper respiratory tract and the eyes are some symptoms of the disease.

Even though the exact mechanism of the mechanism of transmission of leprosy is not to be known, the widely held belief was the disease was transmitted by the contact between cases of leprosy and healthy persons. Respiratory route is gaining ground more recently by the possibility of transmission.

In India to tackle the disease, a centrally sponsored scheme National Leprosy Eradication Programme is implemented. India has eliminated leprosy health problem, which means that there was less than 1 person in 10 thousand infected with this disease. Even though the number seems to be low in percentage terms, when it is considered in absolute term, it is humongous.

In the last Visit of PM Narendra Modi at Andaman and Nicobar Island. On Sunday 30 December 2018, PM Modi Announced the new name of the three islands of the Andaman and Nicobar. The Ross Island now be Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Dweep, where Neil island would know to be Shaheed Dweep, and the Havelock Island would be said to be Swaraj Dweep. The announcement comes on the 75th anniversary of Tricolor raised by Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose In Andaman.

In the Occasion, the PM Modi said: "Today at Port Blair, I had the honor of unflur the Tricolor to mark the 75th anniversary of the Subhas Babu's brave feat. We also repeat our commitment of creating an India on Subhas Babu dreamt of." He also said on Netaji's call: " Many youths from the Andaman island had dedicated themselves to the freedom of INDIA."

"Remembering and honoring our heroes helps strengthen our feelings of integration. The government is making efforts to highlight every glorious chapter of our history," the PM Narendra Modi Said.

PM Modi also released a coin, postal stamp, and First Day Cover to mark the 75th anniversary of the pickup of Tricolor on Indian soil by Neta Ji Subhas Chandra Bose.

The Prime Minister Narendra Modi also said that the government will do everything to give the Andaman and Nicobar islands as self-sufficient as possible. He also talked about the expanding of Port Blair dockyard which will enable the maintenance of big ships. He has also sought a report that within two weeks to three weeks on the conditions of the rural roads on the islands. He also said that the once report has been examined, the government will give whatever assistance is possible.

She said, "some people for political selfishness to save herself make the relation between me of brother-sister or aunt-nephew. Recently a criminal released from jail in Dalit lynching case. Now, he forcefully makes the blood relation of the nephew by saying me, aunt. No blood relations made from these type of persons". Mayawati said that "my relations with that crore of Dalits, tribals, for that my whole life spends and they should consider me as an ideal".
